Job Description

OCI's Fraud and Abuse team is building cutting edge detection and mitigation systems to defend our cloud infrastructure from fraudulent and abusive consumption. Our systems must evolve continuously to remain effective in an ever-changing threat landscape.

We are looking for a team member with experience in fraud and abuse investigations management, determining patterns of fraudster behavior, incident management and outreach to improve fraud resistance across all of Oracle's cloud. You will guide a team of investigators and empower them deliver new investigatory and detective technologies. This includes using tools to analyze and respond to threats, creating tools/scripts to aid in quick analysis and response, and responding to fraud events. The position is part of the team that operates and tunes fraud and abuse detection tools, provides requirements for new security tools and creates use cases for additional monitoring situations.

Responsibilities

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Assurance, Security, Management Information Systems, Risk Management or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 6-8+ years of experience related to investigation management, fraud investigations, fraud monitoring & response, cybersecurity engineering, or SOC work experience (monitoring, detection, incident response, forensics)
  • 3+ years of leadership and people management experience or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, including presentation skills, are important to be successful in this role
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, as well as with external parties
  • Understanding of fraud lifecycle and payment card systems
  • Familiarity with detection frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK in context to the modern Fraud lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of open source tools for technical artifacts, including email addresses, domain, IP address, hash, SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Knowledge SQL language, database technology, and preferred experience with Python
  • Knowledge of the chain of custody process and properly securing evidence
  • Preferred knowledge of current fraudster behavior patterns and distinct identifiers
  • Understanding of host, application, sign-up, identity and network indicators of fraudulent behavior
  • Proven ability to work and collaborate in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and build strategic partnerships
  • Demonstrated history of attracting and retaining high performing employees

US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
