This is a hybrid role based in our and will require you to be in office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Managing Director, Grindr for Equality, leads Grindr's social impact initiative that has been working since 2015 to significantly accelerate progress in health and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community globally. Under the Managing Director's leadership, over the next few years Grindr for Equality will 10X its impact in advancing the fights to: eradicate HIV; end the criminalization and persecution of LGBTQ+ people; further marriage equality; and make a world where the lives of our community are free, equal, and just.
As the premier platform connecting gay, bi, trans, and queer people, the Grindr app offers unique and powerful capabilities to educate, empower, organize, activate, and research the LGBTQ+ community in almost every country in the world, starting with our 13+ million monthly active users, a large majority of whom are outside the U.S. As an integrated member of Grindr's leadership team and in close collaboration with our product team, the Managing Director both leverages and helps shape the app's capacity to advance health and human rights priorities.
The Managing Director and their team will also oversee Grindr for Equality's partnerships with the many LGBTQ+ non-governmental organizations we support on the ground in every region of the world doing critical safety, health, and human rights work, as well as with public health authorities.

Own and ensure execution of Grindr for Equality's strategies to significantly accelerate progress on health and human rights priorities for the LGBTQ+ community globally.
Serve as a key member of Grindr's executive leadership team, reporting to the Head of Global Affairs and working collaboratively with Grindr's CEO, Board members, and other executive leaders.
Lead the Grindr for Equality team, maintaining operational excellence while mentoring and building the team's capacity.
Collaborate with our product team in expanding the Grindr platform's capabilities to advance health and human rights priorities through educating, empowering, organizing, and activating our community of users.
Oversee Grindr for Equality's partnerships with the many LGBTQ+ non-governmental organizations we directly support on the ground in every region of the world doing critical safety, health, and human rights work, as well as with national and regional public health authorities.
Support Grindr for Equality's role as a critical liaison bringing into the company key information from our partner organizations on developments affecting our users around the world, particularly in regions and countries that are most dangerous for the LGBTQ+ community.
Serve as an ambassador for Grindr for Equality to key external and internal stakeholders in the U.S. and globally.

15+ years' experience working in-and 5+ years leading-high-performing public health or human / civil rights organizations in the non-profit, government, or for-profit sectors, with significant experience serving international populations.
A demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams to achieve major advancements in health and/or human rights priorities at scale.
Strong relationships within NGOs and/or public health authorities working on LGBTQ-related issues, both within the U.S. and internationally.
Hands-on and execution-focused, with an innate hunger to drive ambitious and concrete results.
Deeply passionate about advancing health and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community globally, and are committed to making a world where the lives of our community are free, equal, and just.
Collegial and enjoy working collaboratively with your fellow executives and your team members, teaching and learning from your colleagues as we built great things together.

Experience using large digital platforms to help educate, empower, organize, and activate millions of people to advance social impact priorities.
Experience working in the Global South.
