BASF's Technical Development Programs (TDPs) were created to meet the needs of the business within the Gulf Coast by providing highly motivated, local university students that are graduating in engineering an opportunity to enhance their technical and manufacturing engineering skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to rotational assignments within Freeport, Texas. They will develop technical skills and a deeper understanding for manufacturing, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

Program Summary:

APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING BETWEEN DECEMBER MAY 2025.

  • As a highly motivated rising graduate, you will participate in a 24-month engineering rotational program with two, one-year rotations in various technical areas, including: Manufacturing/Operations and Maintenance
  • Successfully engaging across the business, you will be exposed to the technical and scientific aspects of plant engineering, while also working in areas of safety and environment to uphold our high standards
  • Upon your completion of the program, you may be offered direct placement within the organization in a variety of disciplines in engineering and production
  • Potential start dates are June 2025

Formula for Success...
  • Graduates receiving a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering between December 2024 – May 2025
  • Demonstrated academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or future sponsorship
  • Active participation in extra-curricular activities and on-campus organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
