Job Description


The Consumer Market Director is primarily responsible for ensuring that multiple geographic groups of banking center locations and individuals achieve exemplary and consistent levels of client experience while fostering an environment that promotes employee engagement.

This individual will also direct the overall sales and service activities of Banking Center Managers and/or Regional Managers in effectively achieving assigned business objectives.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will direct and supervise work of Regional Managers and/or Banking Center Managers within a designated geographical area.
This involves being a
ctive in the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and development of the Regional teams within your area of responsibility.

  • You will p

lan and execute the branch delivery areas sales/service strategies to achieve goals set by Division in consumer and small business product and service sales.

This includes fostering a culture focused on consultative and ethical selling.

  • You will

stay abreast of trends, technology, and strategies within the financial industry and makes recommendations to senior management regarding revenue, products/processes, or cost saving opportunities.

You aid in the development of strategic initiatives.

  • You will represent the Bank within the community to further enhance its image and to develop and promote additional business.
  • You will act as liaison/senior representative for Consumer Banking with other business partners.
Education & Experience Requirements


This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field and 10+ years experience in a sales management/supervisory capacity in a financial institution, or equivalent experience of 16+ years.


  • Extensive knowledge of consumer financial products and services
  • Ability to foster and develop business partner relationships to influence behaviors that drive overall performance
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable consumer banking laws, banking regulations and industry compliance issues
  • Ability to contribute to both developing and executing to consumer banking strategies designed to exceed business objectives
  • Ability to make recommendations to senior management on revenue, products/processes, and/or cost savings opportunities
  • Proven ability and desire to coach employees for improved performance
  • Extensive knowledge of sales management techniques and concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills, sales and customer relations skills
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and Windows software, Excel, Word, etc
  • Outstanding ability to provide leadership, motivation and direction team members.
  • Must possess good team building skills
