JET Northeast Minnesota Office of Job Training, a partner in the CareerForce system, is seeking a skilled and adaptable Administrative Director to join our dynamic team and provide high-level support and leadership as a member of the JET Management Team to approximately 30 staff at seven locations throughout the Northeast Region.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organized professional with a strong background in administrative support and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new skills, with an extraordinary level of attention to detail.

The Administrative Director will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by executing duties with and on behalf of the Management Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director.

JET, a local unit of county government, operating under a Local Elected Official Board and in partnership with a variety of education, business, and community-based partners, administers state and federal employment and training programs for dislocated workers, low-income adults, and youth.

Programs administered by JET include the Minnesota Dislocated Worker program, employment and training services for the Minnesota Family Investment Program, the Minnesota Youth program, and federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act services for dislocated workers, low-income adults, and at-risk youth.

A person in this position will play an integral role as a member of the JET Management Team, leading collaboratively and cooperatively throughout all aspects of the organization with specific responsibilities in maintaining organization of all administrative aspects, and key areas of information technology and human resources.

This person is expected to perform and execute tasks in a timely, professional, and efficient manner and will be responsible for complex administrative duties to assist the Executive Director and agency as a whole to ensure consistent communications and efficient operations.

Work is performed according to general guidelines, established procedures, and agency policies.

This position requires independent judgment, initiative, and discretion in setting priorities, work sequences, and choices of procedures to follow while performing the duties of the position consistent with regulations.
