Assistant Division Controller

Cone Denim, is seeking a candidate with a strong FP&A background to serve as Assistant Controller, reporting to the Division Controller. In this position, you will work as part of the Division finance team to assist with preparing key financial data, management reporting and bank reporting, in addition to the preparation of financial models of various types. Produce presentation materials for internal and external recipients on a scheduled or requested basis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely reporting of key financial and operational data.
- Responsible for preparing, acquiring final approval and distributing internal and external scheduled reporting packages to all constituencies.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of various financial models related to new product development, revenue, profitability, cash generation, and customer opportunities.
- Perform "what-if" analysis as requested.
- Investigate and identify problems impacting financial policies and procedures. Keep management informed of all matters requiring attention. Recommend appropriate policy or procedure changes to prevent future problems.
- Perform research and studies on capital expenditure opportunities and analyses of rates of return, and make recommendations to management.
- Assist in company budget and annual operating plan development and analysis of actual results compared to budget and operating plan.
- Work with Finance management and business unit management, assist in the development of various forecasts of revenue, costs, cash flow, and earnings over multiple time horizons.
- Work with and communicate effectively with internal audit staff and outside auditors, including being responsive to requested support documentation.
- Communicate and work with all areas of the Finance group on a daily basis and keep FP&A management apprised of any issues requiring attention.
- Perform additional job-related duties and complete special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field with 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate results to team
- Strong written and oral and communication skills
- Strong overall interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management
- Must have financial modeling skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have a comprehensive and expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint or comparable analytical and presentation software.
- Must be a motivated self-starter.
