Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Intake and Marketing creates, develops, and implements a strategic marketing plan to drive awareness, engagement, and growth. The marketing plan and activities will improve relationships with existing referral sources, foster new business, and deepen Italian Home's connections in the community. The Director of Intake and Marketing also plans and executes a process for centralized intake, overseeing the workflows, service, and reporting done by the centralized intake team.
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Chief Strategy and People Officer and supervising Intake Coordinators. It is a hybrid role with some responsibilities on the Jamaica Plain campus and some limited travel within Boston.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with executive leadership, primarily the Chief Strategy and People Officer and Chief Program Officer, to understand the organization's objectives related to intake and marketing
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to address the agency's short-term goals and long-term priorities
  • Create and oversee a process for centralized intake
  • Research current market and industry trends, staying up-to-date with changes in the healthcare industry and nonprofit sector
  • Present data analysis and research summaries that will contribute to operational and strategic planning
  • Engage with community partners to better understand their needs and to increase their knowledge of Italian Home's programs and services
  • Distribute marketing materials and deliver presentations
  • Supervise Intake Coordinators, showing a commitment to their professional development and quality of job performance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Progressive experience in marketing required, including demonstrated success developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred, MBA desired
  • Lived experience related to health and human services in Boston a plus
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing frameworks and innovation processes
  • Ability to collect and analyze data
  • Familiarity with current practices in community engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Management skills, with a passion for positive organizational culture
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, and pivot when necessary
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and design software
