What You'll Do:

  • Counsel, guide, and influence Sr. Leaders (including C-suite executives) before and during media interactions.
  • Leverage media, utilizing conceptual and innovative thinking, to help drive positive public narratives in support of Corteva's brand, reputation, key business/policy objectives.
  • Collaborate and form alliances across disciplines; work closely with members of Public Affairs, outside agencies, and others to drive media strategy, accurate messaging, and consistency of view across Corteva channels.
  • Develop execution plans for media strategy implementation, including media relations counsel to support the strategy.
  • Lead and drive development and trust across all team members; create a positive climate that energizes team member performance.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • Degree in liberal arts, journalism or related field required.
  • 10 years in-house communications or agency experience, including extensive crisis, government affairs and/or media relations experience.
  • Ability to easily flex and adapt as needed to a changing business environment while continuing to drive results
  • Excellent writing ability
  • Extensive experience with corporate media relations, relationships with key agriculture reporters preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to engage reporters and edits independently and well.
  • Ability to travel as needed, often with relatively short notice.
