ATE Engineering Lab Manager

This position offers a great opportunity to work on industry leading semiconductor devices, targeted for broad applications in Automotive and Industrial markets. In this role, you'll be a member of DfT and Test Technology Development team, tasked with driving ATE test automation supporting Analog/Digital test strategies across various product lines. Test Development and Automation engineer will define, lead, and drive ATE automated test program generation tool, with strong emphasis on using standard test methodologies across multiple ATE platforms and products. Knowledge and experience with software development using of C++ / C# / Python / JAVA is necessary. Candidate should know ATE platform architecture and programming language to develop low level ATE code for Analog / Mix Signal blocks. End goal is to design and productize deep Analog and Mix Signal test automated solutions, enabling organization benchmarks in quality, efficient code, and test-cost goals.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Define and develop state-of-the-art ATE test solution(s) automation, to be used by new product development engineers.
  2. Define, lead, and drive test automation, develop test program generation utilities, and create standard test method libraries for current and new IPs.
  3. Proficiency in software coding using C++/C#/Python/JAVA.
  4. Must be able to update / modify existing code to improvise current solutions.
  5. Support new product development teams for all ATE automation software related issues.
  6. Good understanding on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system architecture (ETS800, T2K, IFlex etc.) and able to work with vendor to develop low level automation code.
  7. Continuous upkeep and maintenance of test program generation utilities and standard test method libraries.
  8. Institute program audit and checks and identify / flag opportunities for quality and test escapes, as well as provide best practice solutions for ATE HW / SW implementation.
  9. Act as an interface between ATE vendor, BU PE and Design team to define test automation requirements and checklists

Good IC and test knowledge and background, across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal, along with knowledge of ATE platforms, DfT strategies and test methods, and test instrumentation requirements for various Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Digital tests is critical. Prior hands-on experience working DfT, ATE Test Equipment for IC testing, and good understanding of ATE system architectures, is a must.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSEE/BSCS/BSCE with minimum 10 + yrs of experience working Product / Test (or MSEE with at least 5yrs).
  • Experience working with ATE platforms.
  • Proficient in multiple ATE software coding languages including but not limited to C#/C++, Python, Java.
  • Strong track record of driving ATE automation for test code generation and re-use.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - energetic, motivated, and self-driven.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well within a global team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks.
