The Maintenance Area role is the owner of the Reliability and Maintenance, and associated processes, for the Kevlar unit and provides functional direction and input to 9 direct reports and 60 indirect reports.

Accountable for and contribute towards, the safety, productivity, quality and overall effectiveness of the workforce. Responsible for developing and leading facility maintenance strategy and implementing Maintenance Work Management Processes. Accountable for functional/administrative goals, establishing and working within a budget and developing future talent.

Responsibilities:
Lead the central maintenance organization
Collaborate with other resources and work processes

Deliver results:
Safety, Reliability and Maintenance cost optimization
Provides functional direction to unit Maintenance Group Leader, unit Maintenance Planner and Scheduler, Maintenance Materials Coordinator, Skilled Craft Trainer, and provides input and/or direction to unit Maintenance Engineer
Accountable for, or contributing towards the safety, productivity, quality and overall effectiveness of the work force
Leverages the Global Maintenance Work Process and Sub-Processes across plant or unit
Responsible for developing and leading the facility maintenance strategy
Accountable for implementing Equipment Maintenance Strategies
Accountable for the overall application of the Maintain Facility Work Process and overall alignment to the business' needs

This means:
Implement Maintenance Work Management Process to the level that is locally required and adds value to the operating unit or business
Ensures effective linkages with other processes


The Maintenance Leader will assure that all Maintenance Procedures will include a hazard assessment indicating safety, health and environmental considerations and control measures to prevent contact or exposure.

This information can be documented in the hazards and precautions table, the control measures block, or can be referenced in other documentation.

The individual is accountable for functional/administrative goals and for establishing the budget that is consistent with the business needs
Responsible for carrying out cost management

Develop Maintenance Engineers for future roles in projects, technical skills and leadership

BS engineering discipline or equivalent experience required
7-10 years of maintenance and/or reliability experience required
Line of business experience preferred
