We are seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Scottsdale, AZ office (near Phoenix, AZ).

About You:

In this Project Controls Manager role, you will participate in a wide range of exciting projects leading a team of Planners, Cost Controllers, Estimators.

How your experience will contribute to the team:
Leading a team of Project Controls professionals, this role will be accountable for establishing and managing Project Control functions on assigned projects assuring project schedules, budgets and analysis of trends, change management and forecasts are in compliance to project and company guidelines for successful project delivery.Review the project contract and ensure that all contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, tracking, reporting, and closeout.Development and implementation of the project WBS and cost coding structure to meet estimating, cost control, engineering, document control and other project reporting requirements.Implement & maintain an Earned Value Management plan to measure project performance, identify variances, and inform accurate forecasting.Regularly conduct detailed analysis on project performance key metrics (e.g., CPI, SPI, key commodity tracking, etc.); propose corrective actions; provide timely feedback to project leadership on adverse trends.Preparation of the budget breakdown by package for all packages to ensure proper evaluation of quotations, comparison to budget and progress and cost reporting.Initiate and supervise maintenance of detailed cost and commitment reports.Produces forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow costs and provides variance analysis and explanations.Participate in Risk Management process.Results oriented with outstanding collaboration, communication, interpersonal and team building skills with other department/discipline leads, client and other project stakeholders in support of successful project outcomes.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Project Controls in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry with solid understanding of all project management functions and familiarity with project stage gate process. Experience in Minerals and Metals sector is an asset.Capability and flexibility to manage multiple tasks within tight timelines to support project deliverables.Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information and analysis to senior management effectively.Experience and demonstrated expertise in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimation, cost control, change management, and cost analysis, both in the field and the home office with experience in Ecosys/ Aconex Cost/ PRISM or similar tool.Experience and demonstrated expertise in directing planning and scheduling functions, encompassing schedule development, control, and analysis, schedule risk analysis, in both field and home office with experience in Oracle Primavera P6.Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tool an asset.
