Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a Field Specialist to join our Grower Direct team The Field Specialist is a grower focused role based on providing support to Precision Agronomists and our research team. The role encompasses all aspects of grower and field facing roles from in-field scouting to assisting in data management and evaluation. The Field Specialist role will provide an opportunity for the individual to learn and develop into other roles within the company.

At Advanced Agrilytics you will join our Grower Direct team who provides a direct-to-farm service approach where local Precision Agronomists partner with select, progressive growers across the Corn Belt, providing agronomic support throughout the growing season and beyond.

Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomy services company focused on unlocking the potential of every acre through direct-to-farm agronomic guidance, unbiased spatial research and sub-acre environment understanding, delivering on the promise of precision agriculture.

We have Grower Direct team members in Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky & Ohio.

How you will help us grow:

Soil Sampling


•Collaborate with soil sample team and agronomists to set soil sample points on grower fields and manage sample planning to ensure samples are pulled in a timely manner


•Pull soil samples in spring and/or fall and work with sample results to ensure completeness of data in our system

Field Scouting


•Partner with Precision Agronomist to perform crop scouting throughout the growing season, providing feedback and findings


•Manage scouting activities weekly and follow-up on critical issues with both Precision Agronomist and growers

Data Management


•Assist Precision Agronomist in data collection and management from a range of monitor and cloud systems


•Assist Precision Agronomist with prescription writing and quality control, as well as with delivery and upload for growers

Agronomics & CCA Training


•Dedicate time to independent agronomic study and prep for CCA certification


•Participate in structured agronomic training with other Field Specialists, Agronomists, and Sales Leads

Grower Sales and Relationship Building


•Spend time riding along with Precision Agronomists visiting and managing current growers within the program


•Assist in prospecting calls with Precision Agronomist or Agronomy Sales Lead

Research


•Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of research trials with Ag Ingenuity Partners


•Collecting and processing plant samples while managing/uploading data and findings in a timely manner and according to research protocol(s)

Personal Development


•Spend time working on professional growth and continuous learning


•Explore other areas of the company to gain an understanding of Advanced Agrilytics and opportunities for career growth

Experience you bring:


•Bachelor's Degree preferred


•0-2 years experience in agronomy related field


•Must be willing maintain or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor License within 1 year of employment


•On farm experience preferred
