As a pivotal leader within the Division of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Activities reports to the Senior Associate Dean of Students and is responsible for spearheading a comprehensive student engagement program that boosts school spirit, enriches the BU student experience, and provides students with opportunities to explore their interests and achieve their personal goals. The Director is committed to student-centered leadership, providing vision, strategic direction, policy development, budget management, and oversight for the department's various programs, functions, and traditions.

Required Skills

Masters degree and minimum of five years of progressively responsible and successful leadership in student affairs or student activities.
Experience with advising and supervising student programming, student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and leadership programs at the college or university level.
Experience in supervising full-time staff and managing successful large-scale events and programs.

Skills and Abilities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Effective organizational skills for managing complex work, prioritizing objectives, and exercising independent judgment.

This role involves evening and weekend responsibilities as needed.
