Exciting Opportunity at Dana:

The Product Service & Support Field Engineer plays a crucial role in identifying issues, servicing, and repairing products, equipment, and systems acquired by Dana's clientele. Acting as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, this role provides field service support, spearheads root cause investigations, and manages warranty claims to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, deploy, monitor, and support issue resolution through a robust disciplinary approach.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and provide detailed reports on findings and solutions.
  • Offer technical support across product lines via various channels.
  • Analyze and investigate failed drivetrain components to determine corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing plants and engineering teams to address field issues effectively.
  • Organize training sessions for customers and service centers on product maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Verify machine performance for new applications and ensure compliance with set standards.
  • Contribute to the development of service manuals and procedures.
  • Support in warranty claims processing and field campaigns management.
  • Notify management promptly of customer issues to initiate corrective actions.
  • Assist in verifying compliance with Dana requirements at service centers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; specialization in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • 1+ years of experience in Powertrain Engineering, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Prior exposure to diagnostic test engineering roles is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with driveline components and electrification products.
  • Knowledge of SMT, Microelectronics, and CANalyzer software is a plus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, mainly within North America, with potential training opportunities in Europe.
