Company: FLS Transportation Service Limited is actively looking for a Transportation Logistics Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in negotiations with freight carriers to enhance profitability and streamline operations by identifying cost-saving opportunities;
  • Organize and coordinate truck shipments while addressing any challenges that arise during transit;
  • Review and rectify carrier freight invoices and Bills of Lading as needed for accurate payment;
  • Assign drivers to each load, ensuring they arrive for pickups without complications;
  • Establish and maintain a robust Carrier Program that fosters sales growth, enhances the onboarding process for carriers, and improves pricing and rating knowledge across various freight types;
  • Conduct daily sourcing activities, including identifying new carriers, negotiating rates, and selecting the most efficient transportation options;
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with core carriers, ensuring effective capability profiling;
  • Keep the carrier database updated with current pricing and contact details;
  • Utilize applications and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize productivity in capacity planning and operational workflows;

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in the logistics or transportation sector;
  • Proven ability to stay informed and accurately interpret industry trends;
  • A genuine enthusiasm for sales and logistics, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative;
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Ability to positively influence workplace culture and collaborate effectively with all organizational levels;
