As part of our Maintenance organization, you will support our Super Absorbent Polymers plant, and Site Utilities plants. These are key members of our Freeport, Texas, manufacturing Site. The Utilities plants supply all necessary steam, water, air, and nitrogen to all plants on site, and the Super Absorbent Polymers plant provides the absorbent material in many of the diapers and hygiene products on the shelf of your local grocery store.

During your shift as a Maintenance Technician Sr, you will
  • Install, maintain and repair equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, reactors, agitators, grinders, and conveyors.

  • Improve equipment reliability by maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and utilizing all resources available. Findings reported to supervision with appropriate recommendations.

  • Support and improve preventive maintenance and Mechanical Integrity Programs to insure equipment reliability.

  • Actively participate in plant safety meetings, and work within BASF site and corporate procedures.

  • Maintain good attendance history.

  • Provide rotating on-call support for after-hours production demands to include working overtime and weekends when needed.

  • Have 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Have 1 year of experience performance maintenance and repair of pumps and motors.
