The Environmental Studies Program at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in environmental policy and politics, beginning fall semester 2024. We seek a candidate who approaches human-environmental challenges from a policy and politics (and/or planning) perspective within the field of environmental studies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a total of five Environmental Studies (ENST) classes, including Environmental Policy Analysis, US Environmental Politics, and a course in their area of expertise. Completion of a Ph.D. (or appropriate terminal degree) in Environmental Studies or a related social science field, such as Political Science, Policy Studies, Public Administration, Geography, or Sociology, is required prior to or shortly after the hire date.
