SUMMARY


The teacher in this .8 position will provide 4 sections of quality instruction aligned to Minneapolis College concurrent enrollment standards(high school and college credit) for the following courses: EDUC 1500: Introduction to Urban Education and Reflection & EDUC 1400: Technology for Teachers EDUC 2250: Introduction to Special Education, and EDUC 2350: Multicultural Approaches to Education.

This teacher will plan curriculum with a focus on equity and culturally responsive practices to highlight the brilliance of Henry students.

This position is by the MDE GYO Grant (Grow Your Own).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
Master's Degree in Education

A Master's degree in Education or enrolled in a MA Ed. program – Minneapolis College instructor requirement for teachers leading concurrent enrollment courses

Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A valid teaching license

Must hold a MA in education and be approved to teach by Minneapolis College.

A valid Minnesota Teaching license in secondary – MPS requirement for the Teacher, High School, GYO positions

  • Final candidates may be invited to interview with a committee.
Final appointment to this position will be contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
