North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States REGENT Full time

REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We are backed by the world's best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, in addition to strategic investors like Lockheed Martin, Japan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines. We have over $8B in orders from some of the industry's largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.

As Procurement Specialist at REGENT, you will manage the strategic sourcing and procurement of new parts to support the production of seagliders. You will work on hardware that will carry passengers and cargo swiftly across coastal regions, unlock a new form of cost-effective mobility, and launch the next generation of sustainable transportation. You will own the relationships between REGENT and assigned supply chain partners and manage sourcing strategies to minimize risk, achieve target rates, and pave the way to efficiently building seagliders at scale. This role will initially drive timely supplier selection and procurement to support the first full-scale seaglider prototype. Later, the role will transition to building a robust supply chain to support production vehicles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality to drive continuous improvement and innovation in supply chain operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Issue and manage purchase orders and inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Obtain promise dates from suppliers and manage on-time deliveries
  • Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
  • Identify and carry out solutions to expedite parts as necessary
  • Create accounts with vendors, negotiate terms, and interface with the vendors in collaboration with engineering
  • Source parts while balancing schedule, budget, and quality risk
  • Establish and manage key supplier relationships throughout the supplier lifecycle, including identification, qualification, selection, and contract negotiation
  • Act as point of contact for REGENT suppliers, translating technical requirements to and from supply chain partners and supporting issue resolution in the supply chain
  • Measure supplier performance and drive improvements in the supply chain including quality, delivery, and cost

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing and a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree
  • Purchasing experience sourcing hardware such as fasteners, electrical components, and machined parts

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with vehicle production in the aerospace, marine, and/or automotive industries
  • Experience in contract negotiation and material planning
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong ability to read engineering drawings, including an understanding of GD&T, and interpret manufacturing complexity
  • Experience with technical procurement, manufacturing, or designing production components
  • Knowledge of industry components standards for mechanical (AN, NAS, SAE) and electrical (D38999, M27500, etc) hardware and common coatings and processing
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in data management and analysis (e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBI, etc.)

Working at REGENT, you'll be in a fast-paced environment with exciting new challenges daily and abundant growth opportunities.
