The Senior Technology Solutions Project Manager will be a key leader of an existing book of business, initially spanning 6 groups and over 9,000 employees. This position will focus on ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and success, while providing recommendations for a sustainable future business plan and driving growth.

The Senior Technology Solutions Project Manager will oversee the refinement of processes to ensure operational objectives, business priorities, product implementations and other strategic business initiatives are met. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and ensuring day-to-day project activities run smoothly while delivering a world-class client experience.

Other essential components of this include negotiating resources in partner organizations to meet high priority department objectives, responsible for acquiring resources, managing, directing, and planning projects as well as identifying gaps and recommending enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows.

The Senior Technology Solutions Project Manager is a resourceful team player who supports the Technology Solutions Team in its goal of providing cutting edge HR Technology solutions to our clients for their benefits enrollment and administration practices. He or she is passionate about providing value to our clients and is always looking for ways that he or she can develop more efficient processes. The Technology Solutions Senior Project Manager acts as a resource for the internal Employee Benefits service team members and engages with external clients on a consistent basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategic benefit administration system project plans to achieve business goals
  • Proactively leads projects and business by setting direction of projects, creating project plans, timeline identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on projects
  • Manage the overall delivery of information and activities by ensuring the project team uses consistent definitions and methodologies where appropriate
  • Influence change or enhancements to business processes, policies, and business unit infrastructure to improve information quality, availability, and access
  • Develop and participate in presentation and consultation to existing and prospective customers, business partners and internal business areas on capabilities and performance results
  • Proactively evaluates project activities, builds contingency plans, executes corrective action, and monitors issue resolution to mitigate risks such as scope and/or budget variances

TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

  • Manage project plan for benefit administration system implementations, to include timelines, milestones, resources, deliverables, and activities. Project phases include research and discovery, planning, data conversion, configuration review/audit and testing, training, Go Live, and post-implementation
  • Review and identify requirements for benefit administration system technology implementations; manage Benefits requirements documentation to ensure successful implementation based on client requirements
  • Proactively leads projects and business by setting direction of projects and identifying additional resources needed on projects
  • Manage data conversion, to include data extraction, audits, and cleanup as applicable
  • Participate in/manage technology implementation meetings with client and Account Team
  • Oversee carrier integrations/timeline, manage discrepancy reports during carrier integration implementation
  • Discuss and review user requests regarding navigation, report creation and data requests
  • Manage benefit administration system renewals and Open Enrollment process
  • Test and audit technology platform during Benefits implementation and renewals
  • Train HR Administrators on benefit administration system platform
  • Create Benefits employee enrollment guides and HR administration communications materials
  • Support client ongoing platform/technology needs; respond to clients' ongoing technology platform questions
  • Provide high level consultation on optimization of benefit administration system platform based on known platform functionality and client's business needs
  • Identify opportunities across Employee Benefits Risk Services and Marketing teams to create alignment and effectively utilize resources
  • Manage the overall delivery of information and activities by ensuring the project team uses consistent definitions and methodologies where appropriate
  • Influence change or enhancements to business processes, policies, and business unit infrastructure to improve information quality, availability, and access
  • Develop and participate in presentation and consultation to existing and prospective customers, business partners and internal business areas on capabilities and performance results

EXECUTION OF CLIENT SERVICE

  • Works with Producer and/or Account Executives, service team and other internal departments to plan, execute and track customized service strategy for each client, designed to create value and efficiencies in their businesses
  • Supports service plan and other specific deliverables designed to support clients in making decisions about insurance programs
  • Leverages insurance knowledge and communication skills to explain technology options and other items to clients as needed
  • Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution
  • Manages time effectively to prioritize workload, and service parameters on business processes
  • Understands when issues need to be escalated, who to escalate them to and ensure prevention of further, global issues

PEER RELATIONSHIPS

  • Provides feedback and shares information at team meetings
  • Develops successful working relationships with Producers, Account Executives, Account Managers, service team members, managers, carriers, and members of other departments
  • Communicates effectively with all team members and provides timely complete information to allow them to effectively manage service execution

MARKET STRATEGY AND NEGOTIATION

  • Works with service team to effectively manage and oversee technology implementation
  • Evaluates terms and conditions of quotes received from vendors; compares quote options from multiple vendors and presents contract comparisons as requested
  • Understands the solutions being implemented including the details of the plans being built into those solutions
  • Remains current on industry trends and legislation

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years or more of experience leading bswift Projects, Programs, and/or Process Management teams
  • Minimum 5 years of data interpretation and data analysis experience on the bswift platform
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting the bswift platform, including direct development, configuration, and ongoing support experience for large and complex clients
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex client benefit administration programs
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to navigate challenging client and stakeholder conversations, leading to ideal outcomes for all stakeholders
  • Proven track record in meeting project milestones
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel

PREFERRED:

  • Understanding of service provider governance best practices
  • Experience supporting additional benefits administration platforms, including direct development, configuration, and ongoing support experience for large and complex clients (e.g., Alight, BenefitFocus, bswift, Businessolver, Employee Navigator, Empyrean, Plansource, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience managing relationships with internal and external partners (HCM, payroll, consulting, EDI/data)
  • Management experience related to standards and measurements, technology, systems, and processes
  • Experience in the development of budgets
  • Ability to affect change
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related professional experience
