We are hiring an experienced EIT or PE to join our team. The role will be focused on land development for a diverse client base, including K-12 and higher education, commercial, restaurant, office, municipal, park district, historic preservation, and infrastructure improvement projects across the United States.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESApply principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology as they relate to land development including the design of drainage and stormwater systems, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, parking, and roadwaysUtilize Civil 3D software to prepare exhibits and construction documentsUtilize stormwater management and storm sewer software to design and permit land development projectsReviews regulations and standards necessary to carry out project design and permitting workAnalyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projectsMakes decisions independently on engineering problems and methodsReceives instructions from Senior Engineers as to the general results expectedResponsible for accuracy and quality of engineering design, reports, and plans and maintaining conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standardsPerform site investigations and construction observation on-site services
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSOther general office processes and procedures and project activitiesActively participate in a company committee
REQUIREMENTSExpert knowledge of land development, stormwater, and roadway codes and standardsKnowledge of land development site design· Strong project management skills4-year degree in Engineering required, EIT and/or PE preferred· Minimum of 3 years experience in civil engineeringDemonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawingsKnowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D· Knowledge of stormwater management softwareExcellent communication skills
