What they're looking for:



  • Graduation from an ultrasound program required.
  • Preference given to sonographer registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers(ARDMS) or be registry eligible with the intention of becoming registered within a reasonable amount of time.

Hours and Compensation potential:

  • There are 2 full time positions available: One is 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri and the other is day shift(3-12hr shifts) with no on call.
  • The range is between $28.24hr-$42.50hr depending on experience and shift diff is $1.15 for 3p-11p and $1.38 for 11p-7am and offers a full benefit package and a 10K sign on bonus.

What you'll be doing:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and the Radiology Supervisor, and under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Radiologist.
Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
Maintains adequate records of procedures performed.

  • Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, obstetrics and gynecology scans, small part scans, retroperitoneal scans, carotid duplex and duplex venous scans, and assist in minor surgical/invasive procedures (ex. Cyst aspiration, thoracentesis, amniocentesis and biopsies).
  • Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
  • Positions patients to optimize exam.
  • Selects and operates equipment as directed.
  • Provides immobilization devices as required.
  • Teaches or educates the individual patient and/or patient family (depending on age of patient) what to expect about the patient's examinations before the exams begin, and document data appropriately.
  • Consults with patient and/or others to obtain a complete clinical history; gathers pertinent clinical data.
  • Develops film in accordance with established procedures and fills automizer when needed.
  • May transport patients to the department for procedures ordered by the attending physician.
  • Uses proper sterile and aseptic techniques as required.
  • Practices safe Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions as per signed document at evaluation time.
  • Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
