Description

What You'll Do:


• Responsible for recruiting and hiring, coaching and mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, and addressing all disciplinary issues in a timely manner. Encourage staff in creating and maintaining a work environment with high morale and employee satisfaction through support of professional development, training, career growth, and rewarding high performance.


• Collaborate with I/S management as necessary to set testing direction for projects. Participate in briefings for customers and senior management.


• Testing Issue Management (escalation, reporting and resolution), analyzes information to identify potential issues related to testing and develops appropriate responses. Provides support to escalate testing issues through resolution.


• Manage and facilitate the development, improvement and implementation of work processes and testing models. Ensure quality processes, products, applications and systems are in compliance with quality standards and meet audit and client requirements. Manage the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and quality processes into the design and development of software and IT processes.


• Communicates with senior and executive management (I/S and Customer) on testing activities. Responds to emails or in-person questions on the status of testing, issues and quality concerns.


• Participation on various committees, whether Corporate-wide or just focus groups, to identify and implement process improvements.

This position requires the ability to obtain a C2 Clearance, which requires applicants to be a U.S. Citizen.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree - Any Major OR,
  • 4 years of job-related work experience OR,
  • 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree.

Required Work Experience:

  • 7 years of job-related IT experience.
  • Prior team lead, supervisor, or management experience OR,
  • Equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated flexibility for adapting to both changing business and client needs, and a changing technical environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge base in related area.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent and effective communication, customer service and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge.

Required Software and Other Tools:

  • General word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Standard office equipment; phone, copier, fax, computer, etc.

We Prefer That You Have:

  • Experience with test automation
  • Knowledge of health care payer applications, especially claims processing, distributed systems, mainframe systems, system resources, multi-layered systems, etc.
  • Experience with executive presentations
  • Experience coordination testing and defect management with customer testing departments
  • Experience coordination testing and defect management with vendors
  • Experience with the use of synthetic data for manual and automated testing
  • Experience leading and developing strategic roadmaps to guide manual testers to utilize test automation
  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks.

Work Environment:


• Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Some travel between office buildings may be required.
