Position Description:

PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity The Sr. Manager, Engagement Cloud a crucial role in supporting intelligent, financially sound decision making for our Engagement Cloud organization. Our Engagement Cloud consists of Punchh, PAR Retail, and Menu. This person will have demonstrated strong accounting, financial analytical skills, Business Acumen (Enterprise Technology and Multi-Product technology company), and the ability to think strategically. This person will be a quick thinker and doer and have experience in directing other people's work, both directly and indirectly. This role is an important role for PAR to help Engagement Cloud leader make the right decisions going forward. This person will do deep dive analyses, report weekly metrics, and analyze trends and comparisons to industry competitors. This person must take the initiative and roll-up their sleeves to work themselves as well as lead a team of three finance professionals. This position requires 50+ hours a week commitment and a willingness to be flexible with priorities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in business and or hospitality with emphasis in accounting and/or financial planning & analysis supporting SaaS or fast-growing technology companies.
  • Experience in managing people.
  • Strong knowledge SW Capitalization and experience in supporting an engineering organization.
  • Strong finance skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and solid business acumen
  • Experience in calculating SaaS Metrics (CAC:LTV, CARR, Rule of 40 etc.)
  • Independent thinking and the ability to use data and business acumen to drive decisions.
  • Passion for using data to drive better decision making and connecting operational metrics with financial results.
  • Strong partnership and influence skills
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the nuances of FP&A in rapidly changing environment, including monthly and quarterly updates, and rolling forecasts
  • The ability to work collaboratively across organizations and functions while utilizing resources effectively.

Unleash your potential- What you will be doing and owning:

  • Own complete support of Engagement Cloud Business Unit including:
    • Ability to Partner with the Engagement Cloud General Manager and his staff to help the EC become more profitable and continue to add more growth both with white-space and new customers.
    • Quickly dive in to understand the business and perform deep analysis for additional insights to develop specific do deep dives to understand areas for improvement.
    • Support Headcount planning including efficiency efforts.
    • Understand industry benchmarks and what EC needs to do to grow top-line and EBITDA.
    • Oversee monthly accounting close process (will be responsible for reviewing some journal entries and reconciliations/controls)
    • Produce a monthly managerial finance reporting package, (Budget vs. Actuals), P&L, Department Statements, Revenue, Gross Margin, OpEx analyses)
    • Monthly forecast process for Cost of Sales, Comp & Non-Comp spending
    • Deep dive into business analytics providing actional insights to the executive management.
    • Annual Budgeting Process
    • Provide spending and Head Count approvals/analyses.
  • Be a mini-CFO to the Engagement Cloud General Manager and tell the narrative from month to month, quarter to quarter, year to year etc....
  • Coordinate Monthly and Quarterly Business updates presented to PAR senior management.
  • Use Planful Management Reporting System to analyze actuals and input updated forecasts.
  • Look for opportunities to enable real time reporting through Power Bi or other data visualization tools.
  • Help Commercial Finance be recognized as thought leaders in helping the business focus on things that matter most.
  • Drive financial accountability and ensure that our OpEx groups hit their operating plans.

The base salary (or hourly rate) range for this position is $131,000 to $145,000 USD per year (or $zz per hour) commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.
