Company Summary: Our client is a leading provider in the civil liability market for cars and trucks in the United States and Canada, holding over 40% market share and boasting more than 50 years of experience. They are looking to add a Commercial Auto Underwriting Manager to their expanding team.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • The role involves developing a profitable portfolio of private and commercial auto business and working closely with line underwriters.
  • Manages and monitors all aspects of underwriting, reviews processes and procedures, and makes improvements as necessary.
  • Must possess analytical skills to analyze data for pricing and rating new and renewal business, as well as to handle high hazard and complex accounts.
  • Must have leadership skills to train and coach the team of underwriters to improve and accelerate performance. Must be a hands-on manager.

Qualifications:

  • Seeking an individual proficient in insurance data analysis, with strong negotiation skills, effective communication, and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Requires 5-10 years of underwriting experience, along with any insurance designations such as CPCU, and a bachelor's degree.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial lines products.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Capability to independently manage complex workloads, coupled with excellent relationship-building and teamwork skills.
