What You Will Do

  • Work in a Design environment where you challenge the norms and paradigms of user experience.
  • Leverage data to identify and confirm bottlenecks in large-scale design and development workflows.
  • Use engineering build tools, monorepo, and IDE to reproduce and debug UI janks in order to formulate cross functional solutions.
  • Prototype difficult-to-visualize concepts to justify design and technical decisions.
  • Learn new skills and emerging technologies (AI, VR, Unity, etc.) to explore engineering feasibility.
  • Connect people to ideas in a way that generates excitement.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working on public-facing consumer products
  • Strong development skills using JavaScript, Compose, or SwiftUI.
  • Experience using data to form and validate strategic hypotheses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience
  • Capable of production-level engineering in one's own area of technical focus.
  • Understand the product release cycle, making necessary tradeoffs and prioritization decisions to ship.
  • Experience working with teams of engineers and QAs.
  • Experience designing tools and solutions such as Figma Plugins, assets management, etc.
  • Experience conducting or participating in user studies.
  • Has at least one developed design proficiency, such as interaction, motion, visual or UX design.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link
