Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer I at our facility in Plantation, Florida, to own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key decisions and process improvements.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze large datasets to support strategic supply chain projects.
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary data sets.
  • Analyze key metrics to advance Chewy's best in class in-stock rates and inventory turns.
  • Identify and communicate current and future inventory issues as well as developing sound recovery plans.
  • Participate in innovative, metric driven processes and projects to achieve supply chain excellence.
  • Automate the process of extracting data in order to drive efficiency within the Supply Chain ecosystem and allow for on-demand reporting.
  • Create dashboards that depict information such as new orders, active accounts and inventory levels, among others to help better understand the health of Chewy's supply chain function.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Science, Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience.
  • Will accept a Master's degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Experience must include 1 year with: SQL, Tableau and Excel to develop business intelligence tools, create reports and analyze data;
  • Python to automate routine tasks and create complex visualizations;
  • BI data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT to create data pipelines required for reporting/analysis;
  • descriptive statistics and basic inferential statistics;
  • cloud data warehouse such as snowflake.
