Position Overview

Dana Incorporated is currently looking for a Systems & Controls Engineering Co-Op to join their team.

This role presents an exciting chance to enhance your technical expertise by collaborating with Dana's EV LV Engineers on a variety of departmental tasks and projects.

As a Systems & Controls Engineering Co-Op, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the controls development team
  • Assisting with tasks related to:
    • Model-based controls development
    • Traditional AUTOSAR process for model-based engineering
    • Utilizing the Vector DaVinci Developer and Configurator
    • Creating ARXMLs
    • Developing Simulink models
    • Working on source code (.c/.h files)
    • Integrating software components
  • Conducting tests on Dynos/HiLs as necessary
  • Contributing to the development of automation scripts in MATLAB (.m files) and DevOps automation for CI/CD (.json files, .yml files, etc)

Key Responsibilities

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering
  • A keen interest in participating in the creation of embedded control systems for transportation
  • Ability to learn new concepts while on the job
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills (experience with 8D or similar methodologies is advantageous)
