Beckman Coulter Inc – Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a data engineer who can help us build out a modern, cloud-based data infrastructure that will support a variety of stakeholders, including data scientists, clinical scientists, and existing and future data-based applications. The infrastructure will have to support structured, unstructured, and IoT data. The data engineer will also develop and manage pipelines for ETL processes, monitor data integration, and help implement data strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented, expert data system technician, and top-notch cloud developer.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and organize raw data from different sources especially image and IoT data.
  • Acquisition and preparation of image data for AI, ML use cases.
  • Manage and monitor all cloud (Azure) and on-prem data resources.
  • Build data systems and pipelines.
  • Evaluate data related to business needs and objectives.
  • Interpret data trends and patterns.
  • Build management dashboards on the underlying data store.
  • Research emerging technologies in data engineering.
  • Partner with stakeholders for tooling existing database schema and future enhancements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data, ML engineer or similar role
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining data models for SQL and NoSQL data systems
  • 3+ years of experience with containerizing technologies such as Docker
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or relevant work experience
  • Expert in Programming languages such as SQL, Python and shell scripting
  • Technical expertise building dashboards, building UI and cloud administration.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud based Data Lake/Warehouses
  • Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory/ Synapse
  • Working knowledge of SDLC processes and CI/CD.

The salary range for this role is$150K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
