Job Description Summary:


This position works under the supervision of the Research Programs Manager to provide day-to-day administrative support to the research program at the School of Nursing.

This position typically organizes meetings, public events, and conferences, and provides administrative support in order to meet project deliverables and program outcomes.

This position includes scheduling of meetings, coordination of procurement, document management, and financial support activities so that project activities and expenditures are tracked.

This position may prepare monthly budget and expense reports. This position will report to campus 2-3 days a week in VSTC or FB.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.



Minimum Qualifications:


Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study.

Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient at data entry with accuracy.
  • Proficient with multiple virtual meeting platforms.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite for Windows (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) applications, and ability to learn new software applications and systems.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of workrelated information and materials.
