Bestica is seeking a ColdFusion Web Support to provide future services at Occupational Environmental Health Department located at United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, OH

Description of Services: USAFSAM provides data and services to globally distributed customers through the Human Performance Wing Support System (HPWS). HPWS is a ColdFusion and Oracle Web application that serves over 2.4 million views yearly to Air Force users worldwide. HPWS is maintained at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio by the HPWS Program Office (711 HPW/OMCI). The HPWS Program Office utilizes contract developer support to maintain and enhance software modules within the system. The purpose of this effort is to acquire software development support for the Technical Operations Division of USAFSAM/OE to continue development of Radiation Dosimetry capabilities based upon information provided in the requirements documentation and design specifications. The employee shall meet all requirements per the basic contract and provide professionally and technically qualified individual(s) to perform all tasks in the following paragraphs to fulfill the requirements.

Minimum Education (one of the following):

  1. B.S. in Computer Science and/or CIS and 4 years Web development experience working with large web applications (ColdFusion preferred) and relational database development (Oracle preferred).
  2. Any bachelor's degree and 6 years Web development experience working with large web applications (ColdFusion preferred) and relational database development (Oracle preferred).
  3. Any post-secondary education and 8 years Web development experience working with large web applications (ColdFusion preferred) and relational database development (Oracle preferred).

Experience:

  • The Web developer shall have work experience creating and updating Web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, HTML, and CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery. Actual work experience with ColdFusion, HTML, and CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery is required to complete the tasks.
  • The Web developer shall have work experience working with Oracle and SQL Server. This experience shall include creating, analyzing, and understanding Oracle and SQL Server queries.
  • The Web developer shall have work experience writing and understanding complex queries written using ANSI SQL.
  • The Web developer shall have work experience using database integrated development environments (IDEs) to build and interact with database schemas and objects. Experience with other database system IDEs may suffice, such as Quest TOAD, or MySQL Workbench, however, experience with Oracle SQL Developer and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is preferred.
  • The Web developer shall have work experience designing, building, and understanding relational database models and database objects. This includes experience creating and
  • working with schemas and objects, such as tables, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
  • The Web developer shall have work experience creating and working with Entity
  • Relational Diagrams (physical and relational models). Experience working with Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler is preferred.
  • The Web developer shall have experience reading, understanding, and creating database procedural logic for stored procedures and functions. Work experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL procedural languages is required.
  • The Web developer shall have experience working with JavaScript to manipulate UI controls and perform client-side logical processing, such as forms validation.
  • The Web developer shall have experience working with jQuery to capture web page UI events and initiate AJAX transactions with server-side application processes.
  • The Web developer shall have experience performing system analysis of existing systems to understand processing logic and capabilities.
  • The Web developer shall have experience designing new systems and capabilities, and be able to document system requirements, designs, and project plans.
  • The Web developer shall have experience reading, understanding, and creating system documentation such as functional requirements, design documents, use cases, user stories, test plans and test cases.
  • The Web developer shall have experience conducting meetings and communicating with stakeholders to collect and understand functional requirements.
  • The Web developer shall have experience translating functional requirements into technical documentation, project plans, and fully functional web application products.
