Senior Algorithm Developer

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Lead Scientist to support our clients R&D algorithm development teams. This client builds software for government defense purposes, specifically to enable data collection via satellites. As a Lead Scientist, you will apply your expertise in imagery science to write software in Python using modern libraries and Software Engineering methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy innovative algorithms for image processing using Python and modern libraries.
- Manage cloud-deployed full-stack web application solutions.
- Lead teams to solve complex technical challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their R&D algorithm development needs.
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance required.
- B.S. in an Engineering Discipline.
- 10 years of minimum experience in an image processing focused engineering career.
- 8 years of minimum experience developing image processing solutions in Python.
- 8 years of minimum experience with processing, exploitation, and algorithm development of GEOINT datasets.
- 5 years of minimum experience with web development using Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript or equivalent technologies.
- 2 years of minimum experience with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.) and associated cloud deployments.
- Mastery of software configuration management using Git.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline.
- Expertise developing modular, reusable software via strong Object-Oriented Software development practices.
- Experience using GitFlow and GitOps workflows using team repository (GitHub / Gitlab / etc.).
Compensation:
$180,000.00+ per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
