Job Description

Nordstrom is seeking a Finance Manager to support our Supply Chain Finance with a high-level of curiosity, a strong foundation in finance and analytical skills, an ability to think critically, problem solve, and has an aptitude to learn new systems. The Supply Chain Finance Manager will focus on reporting, analyzing and communicating the impacts of strategic initiatives in Supp. This is an individual contributor (IC) manager position. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and complex data sets. Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

A day in the life...

· Partner with cross-functional teams to drive unit alignment and articulate key differences between unit definitions and/or assumptions from different reporting systems.

· Support the financial planning process through month-end close, bi-annual planning, and long-term planning while analyzing results ensuring execution and accountability across the business

· Analyze results across Supply Chain, identifying trends and proactively communicate insights to support the business

· Support the business allocation process including month-end journal entries, business unit reporting, and communicating allocation to business partners

· Track and communicate performance through reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure transparency and accountability

· Proactively make recommendations for report automation, simplification, and process improvement to enhance capabilities within the finance team

· Provide coaching and direction to junior members of the team

· Perform ad hoc analyses and present recommendations to key business leaders

You own this if you have...

· Bachelor's degree in Finance or Mathematics

· 7 years of related experience, retail industry experience preferred

· 3 to 5 years Anaplan modeling experience preferred

· SQL experience a plus

· Demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of our customers

· Strong analytical, modeling and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

· Experience taking large volumes of data from multiple data sources (excel, databases, & tableau) and condensing it into a clean, insightful, and automated format

· Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

· Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment.

· Strong team player, is an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards.
