About the role
Our R&D Associate Manager will lead a team of R&D technicians who will be involved in all aspects of the design and development process for Urology products. Ensures that program objectives are determined and met, logistics are effectively coordinated, technician support is allocated, and budgets are adhered to. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews. Hiring and onboarding new team members. Provide strategic and technical guidance to support product for new product development and sustaining activities. Monitor daily work operations in the R&D labs and provide direction and guidance (technical and professional) to staff to achieve project goals and timelines. Strategize, plan and provide technician support for R&D projects. Support budget planning and other financial activities associated with R&D labs Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organization objectives. Interact with all lab customers, stakeholders, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and providing project updates. Engage in cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-team strategic discussions on how to drive results and efficiently execute activities. Monitors lab safety and compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, DEKRA regulations, etc.). Work on NCEP/CAPA, and equipment management (release, maintenance/PM, calibration) Other duties as required.Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline 6+ years of relevant work experience Work experience in R&D and lab environment Experience as a mentor and/or coach Detailed understanding of lab safety, compliance, and audits (BSI/DEKRA) Superior communication skills (verbal/written) and demonstrate strong leadership skills Innovation mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environmentPreferred qualifications:
Experience as a people manager/leader Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills Proficient with presentations and communicating updates for leadership Project management skillsRequisition ID: 584761
