RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Effectively and safely maintain and troubleshoot new and existing plant equipment. Must have experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components. PLC experience helpful but not mandatory.
  • Set up, maintain and repair equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment while utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Specify repair parts and replace as needed.
  • Help maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts, tooling and equipment.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers in the development and construction of new jigs, fixtures, or automation equipment to increase throughput and reduce operating expenses through inventory or waste reduction.
  • Support all 5S and Lean efforts in the plant.
  • Document, as required, task actions taken, in compliance with TS requirements.
  • Use maintenance support systems to plan, track, and evaluate work.
  • Other activities to support the building, facilities, design, quality, and manufacturing operations of PTI.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects as assigned and help to coordinate internal resources with outside vendors when appropriate.
  • Perform miscellaneous facilities work as needed (Snow removal from sidewalks, etc.).

Education
Technical/other training of Manufacturing Technology (required)

Experience
5 years: Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing/maintenance technician environment (required)
