Position Overview:
A prominent client in the public transportation sector is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Specialist to enhance their team during the second shift (1:30pm-10:00pm CST, M-F).

This role involves working with a diverse range of vehicles, such as transit buses, coach buses, cutaway buses, minivans, trucks, and trailers. The technician will also gain experience with diesel, gasoline, and an increasing number of electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily tasks will primarily focus on conducting preventive maintenance inspections and executing repairs on the vehicle fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are safe for operation.

This position allows for qualification as either a Tech A or Tech B level, depending on the candidate's experience and industry knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits:
This role offers a permanent, on-site position with a competitive salary range of $50,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, a $3/hr shift differential will be included on top of the base salary.

Qualifications:
- Experience working on buses, coach buses, electric vehicles, and cutaway buses
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and hands-on experience with engines and transmissions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of vehicle maintenance experience
- Valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B, with passenger endorsement (must be obtained within 12 months of employment, with company assistance)
- Valid medical examiner certificate as per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Familiarity with maintenance software and basic skills in Microsoft Office
