CarMax is currently seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to join their team at their corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. This role is ideal for a professional experienced in overseeing product, initiative, and/or platform teams.

The Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for various aspects such as ceremonies, stakeholder communication, resource allocation, budget management, and metrics tracking.

Key responsibilities include guiding teams, removing obstacles, and providing feedback.

The successful candidate will also focus on process improvement, training, and mentoring junior managers to ensure successful outcomes in terms of product delivery, team engagement, and customer satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads delivery of complex products/initiatives and guides resources effectively
  • Adheres to project management methodologies and influences best practices
  • Coaches and mentors team members in project management activities
  • Act as a problem solver and decisionmaker for the team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong problemsolving abilities
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with peer groups
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Agile practices

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of digital/IT experience
