Overview:

As an Oncology Territory Manager, you will report to the District Manager and play a key role in achieving territorial objectives by effectively promoting branded products to the customer base. Requirements related to territory management need to be met in a timely manner. Building strong rapport with customers, acting as a reliable resource, maintaining regular communication with the District Manager, and representing the company in a positive and professional light are integral aspects of this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Engage with healthcare professionals in the designated sales territory, highlighting the advantages, features, and benefits of the products.
  • Exceed sales targets by emphasizing product features and benefits to key accounts such as Hospitals, Infusion Centers, Nephrologists, and other healthcare entities within the assigned region.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers and key opinion leaders through educational visits, influencing healthcare providers to prescribe Daiichi Sankyo's offerings. Ensure effective communication of product information and advantages in various settings.
  • Analyze customer requirements, maintain an updated customer target list, and plan visits accordingly. Adhere to all sales and marketing initiatives and keep abreast of industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations when providing healthcare providers with accurate information about Daiichi Sankyo's products.
  • Participate in training sessions, stay well-informed about product details, market conditions, and competitive activities. Act as a disease state expert offering superior product knowledge and customer service.
  • Maintain equipment, records, and utilize sales automation tools effectively to enhance sales impact and territory management. Submit timely reports and communicate marketplace insights to the District Manager.
  • Promptly report any product complaints to Medical Affairs & Pharmacovigilance as per standard operating procedures.
Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
  • Preferred: 3 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales/marketing, especially in specialty areas like rare diseases or oncology.
  • Experience in selling within complex environments is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40% to 60% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license meeting company requirements.
  • Compensation and seniority level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
