The Marketing Cloud Engineer will work as a liaison between the On Location Marketing and Technology departments defining and executing solutions based on business needs. This role will collaborate closely with other Salesforce Admins and Leads for Sales and Service Clouds to ensure that execution is targeted toward business strategic goals. (Technology and Business). The Marketing Cloud Engineer will both be designing and developing system enhancements, roadmap execution, and day-to-day operations of our marketing technology. This role is technical, but the right centiday will have strong business acumen and be able to work hand-in-hand on marketing activations and MarTech executions. On Location is the world-leader in premium sports and entertainment experiences, and you will be marketing the largest events in the world including: Super Bowl, Olympics, NCAA, PGA, Masters, Nascar, Barret Jackson, UFC, WWE and more.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with technology, sales and marketing to ensure optimal performance and usage of Salesforce systems and products.
  • Partner for definition and execution of Salesforce Marketing Cloud at On Location
  • Develop and deploy items such as: SMS/MMS, Email Marketing, Journey Optimization, Subscriber lists, Salesforce Integrations (native connectors and 3rd party), Cloud Pages (front and back), data models and hygiene
  • Set up performance reporting and lead A/B testing of marketing campaigns
  • Upgrading and configuring Salesforce systems (clouds) for optimized workflows and integration
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom objects, custom fields, and automations (ex. SF Flow)
  • Design, build, test, debug, and provide documentation for projects/programs associated with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and legacy Pardot. (both bug fixes and new product features)
  • Plan campaigns through the development of content marketing strategies, list management strategies, campaign execution and campaign measurement
  • Admin tasks including: Adding and removing users, role creation, and adhoc day-to-day support
  • Assist in managing development and partnership engagements with third party consultants as needed to complete projects.
  • Importing data while maintaining data cleanliness and remaining aware of automations.
  • Build and maintain in market solutions to solve business needs in Salesforce thinking of the full Salesforce ecosystem (Sales and Service Clouds)
  • Efficiently and effectively provide business analysis to stakeholders to help streamline operations
  • Report and dashboard creation from simple to complex
  • System maintenance along with the rest of the admin team
  • Ensure the CRM system provides an effective sales funnel for all On Location properties including: proper pipeline recommendations as needed to the business
  • Monitor and enhance information flow within CRM and pair with other business-critical systems including On Location Central Data Platform and Data Lake
  • Provide training and support to end users including but not limited to (data cleanliness, internal processes, user onboarding and new features)
  • Document solutions, architecture and processes including dependency mapping across Salesforce Data including internal and external consumers of Salesforce data
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to map customer journeys and design automated, personalized campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Automation and Personalization: Implement marketing automation strategies to nurture leads, drive engagement, and enhance the overall customer experience. Leverage personalization features to deliver targeted and relevant content to different segments.
  • Data Management and Segmentation: Manage and segment customer data within Salesforce Marketing Cloud for precise targeting and personalized messaging. Implement data governance best practices to maintain data quality and compliance
  • Reviews business requirements to optimize business processes, source data, data flows and business rules, and assists with the implementation
Administrative & Other Responsibilities

  • Liaison with business units, and clients to streamline lead-to-close process
  • Support strategic sales and marketing executions for the Olympics and other On Location Properties
  • Act as a pseudo business analyst with a strong focus on customer experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in Salesforce Administration (Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud)
  • Hands on experience managing marking campaigns
  • 2-3 years of experience with high touch with marketing and sales teams
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is required
  • Proficiency in creating AMPscript and CloudPages for advanced personalization and dynamic content.
  • Experience with Flow Builder, Omni-Channel, Custom Objects, sandbox management, and user administration is required.
  • Proficiency in creating AMPscript and CloudPages for advanced personalization and dynamic content.
  • Strong understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant data privacy and compliance regulations.
  • Salesforce data model, SOQL queries, and data loader
  • Experience developing customer-facing user interfaces
  • Experience in supporting both Sales and Marketing
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effective listening skills, and expertise in setting and managing expectations
  • Proven solution documentation, scoping, and execution of projects
  • Experience in collaboration within an Agile development environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and implement new solutions on the fly

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • 2-3 years' experience with Pardot and or Marketing Cloud
  • Proficient with Apex, Native, MySQL and JavaScript
  • Salesforce Developer Certification
  • Experience working in JIRA or other similar tool
  • Experience with GDPR/PII, Data Security and PCI is a bonus
  • Experience with data and systems integration including collaboration with data science
  • Experience with entertainment, sports, and travel
