Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer within our Connectivity division, you will collaborate with various teams to develop and maintain integrations with financial institutions. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our services, supporting Currency Cloud's mission to deliver exceptional payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the design and implementation of key project components.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to identify and resolve bottlenecks, streamline dependencies, and establish clear boundaries within our architecture.
- Design and implement robust data processing systems that handle extensive data volumes monthly.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members involved in these components.
- Define standards for new product features and collaborate with Technical Product Managers to break down solutions into manageable tasks.
- Assist operational teams in troubleshooting, defect analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve issues impacting our clients.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5 years with an advanced degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Proven expertise in Java or other backend programming languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in building and consuming REST APIs and knowledge of Spring Technologies.
- Strong background in architecting secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between remote and office work. Employees are expected to work from the office a few designated days each week based on business needs.
