Job Description
The Employer Segment Strategy Lead is responsible for the development of above-brand segment strategies and tactics related to Employer customer segment. The incumbent will support the customer facing account team and OCAR/payer marketing. This role will serve as an expert on segment trends, customer needs, and business opportunities specific to the Employer segment inclusive of Employers, Employer Coalitions, Employee Benefit Consultants, and other stakeholders.
The position will be reporting to the Executive Director of Intergrated Account Management (IAM) Strategic Insights. This is a HQ-based role if you live in the North Wales, PA area or remote if you live other places in the US.
Key Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:
- Address strategic questions as part of in-depth assessment of customer segment (market segmentation, leverage points and gaps/opportunities) to address current and future market evolution
- Provide input into brand/payer marketing teams for them to incorporate segment trends, customer point of view and related implications into planning and strategy
- Monitors the US Healthcare environment related to Employer segment to understand how our access, pricing & contracting decisions may impact future affordability, access and utilization of the near-term pipeline and current portfolio
- Serve as internal expert on segment-specific trends, related business models, and voice of the customer
- Support above-brand segment engagement strategies and associated resources for Corporate Account Executive customer-facing team; work closely with OCAR/Payer Marketing, legal and compliance, promotion points, and other stakeholders for feedback and insight on execution
- Manages our company relationship with outside actuarial and consulting services in areas for major customer segments
- Support Account Management evolution within the US commercial organization
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree
- 5 or more years of experience, which can be a combination of marketing, marketing/sales support, account management/sales
- Understanding of macro-US healthcare trends and stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead across diverse stakeholders
- Ability to influence disparate teams without formal reporting authority
- Strategic planning and business planning skills
- Knowledge of employer, coalition, and benefit consultant sector
- Ability to learn quickly and to assess a variety of scenarios, strategically and operationally
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Travel the amount of time the role requires (30%)
- Ability to work at the North Wales (Upper Gwynedd), Pennsylvania office at least 3 days per
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Experience working in a director-level human resources role or as an employee benefits consultant
