Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) University Advancement (UA) is seeking a Manager and Assistant Director, Donor Relations.

The Manager, Donor Relations reports to the Director and provides production coordination and management of donor relations functions of gift acknowledgment, donor recognition and stewardship reporting activities. The Manager is responsible for establishing and managing procedures and systems for overall campus-wide scholarship stewardship and endowed fund stewardship reporting, and works closely with donors and potential donors for gift solicitations, gift and fund questions and concerns, and reporting and recognition.

The Assistant Director, Donor Relations reports to the Director and helps to direct a comprehensive stewardship program of gift acknowledgement, donor recognition and stewardship reporting. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing stewardship activities in an integrated, coordinated and consistent fashion for the division and campus. In partnership with development stakeholders, assists in developing stewardship standards, procedures and tools, and guides their implementation. The Assistant Director manages portfolio of assigned donors and donor prospects for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship purposes.

Candidates will be hired at the level comparable to their experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Required Qualifications

Manager, Donor Relations

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master's degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: donor relations, development, non-profit management, fund raising, alumni relations, public relations or marketing or related experience.

Assistant Director, Donor Relations

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience OR

Master's degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience

Related Experience: donor relations, development, non-profit management, fund raising, alumni relations, public relations, or marketing, preferably in higher education or other large, complex institution, to include supervisory experience or related experience.
