Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Technical Officer to join the growing BM TRADA Product Certification team. This role can be based remotely or from our High Wycombe location. This is a great opportunity for an individual to develop their existing knowledge of British and European testing standards relating to timber, doors, windows and other building products in a career with a growing global organisation.



Responsibilities
  • Review test evidence and produce scopes of certification/Technical Assessments that meet the requirement of the relevant certification scheme
  • Review audit visit reports to confirm compliance the rules of the certification scheme and make certification recommendations
  • Maintain knowledge of required standards and legislation for certification
  • Attend client meetings and coordinate test programmes to meet certification requirements
  • Excellent and confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Support to Certification teams and other Element departments


Skills / Qualifications
  • Extensive technical knowledge of building products
  • Training provided to become qualified to ISO 9001
  • Good customer service skills
  • Understanding of factory processes for construction products such as doors, windows, timber products
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Decisive, logical and methodical
  • Demonstratable time and project management skills
  • Experience of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to use an array of MS Office products
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
