We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and partners. For years, TikTok has played a central role in the shopping journey for the Beauty category with #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt. Beauty is one of the most influential & fastest-growing categories at TikTok Shop, and we are looking for an ambitious and pragmatic Business Development Leader to step-change the pace of brand & seller acquisition to accelerate Category growth.
Role Overview The Category Programs Lead will lead a team of special project managers and program managers to solve the critical business programs that will unlock the next stage of growth for a fast-growing set of categories. The intent of this team is to anticipate, identify, and solve the types of problems that will enable our Category Management teams to continue focusing externally on Seller & Creator engagement.
This leadership role is a combination of strategic and tactical execution, and the ideal candidate is an ecommerce generalist who understands business operation well enough to effectively lead impactful projects & programs within the categories. Responsibilities
- Partner with Category & Cluster leaders to identify and prioritize the most impactful business challenges that need a category-wide solution
- Develop, execute, and deliver Category special projects which span areas such as customer acquisition & category penetration growth, growing repeat purchases, streamlining category UX quality, category campaign management, and seller fulfilment improvement, among others
- Provide high-judgement and timely prioritization input to project and program owners to help the category solve problems promptly, help get quick alignment from cross-functional leaders, and unlock rapid seller growth
- Create and execute Beauty category-specific programs that focus on specific sets of customers, sellers, creators or cross-functional opportunities (e.g. Incentive programs, feature adoption, pilot programs)
- Apply TikTok platform perspective to improve efficiency of business operation, including identifying pain points and needs of different ecosystem roles (sellers, partners, creators)
- Conduct in-depth analyses to synthesize operational best practices and identify key success factors for seller success
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience leading strategic projects, cross-functional programs, internal consulting project delivery, or sales operations in an ecommerce environment
- 3+ years' experience leading teams of project managers or program managers
- Strong analytical & problem-solving ability
- Clear, compelling communication and ability to influence cross-functionally to get to desired outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Program Management or Project Management experience embedded within ecommerce category management teams
- Experience in content commerce, creator commerce, or TikTok ecosystem

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $ $273600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.
