Job Overview:

The Program Officer, Welcome Corps at Work, supports the implementation of the Welcome Corps at Work Program (WCW). The role of the Program Officer (PO) is to provide administrative assistance, facilitate communication and coordinate activities with the international teams from six countries, namely Kenya, Uganda, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia. This position reports to the Senior Program Officer of Labor Mobility within the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) Department. The duration of this project is estimated to end in April 2026.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Senior Program Officer, Labor Mobility (SPO) in program oversight and coordination with internal and external partners during project implementation.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication with team members to ensure an articulated work amongst project components and the achievement of project goals.
  • In collaboration with the SPO and Finance, ensure appropriate tracking and spending of funding by offices.
  • Lead in tracking project tasks and activities for all project components, maintaining updated information and data.
  • Collaborate in preparing reports, presentations, and other necessary documents for stakeholders.
  • Support with other day-to-day activities as required.
  • Ensure all materials, documents and operational procedure documents are kept updated and are shared appropriately with all the local teams.
  • Provide guidance and recommended resources in response to questions and requests from the teams in the six selected countries.
  • Oversee WCW inbox to ensure prompt and adequate responses to all incoming inquiries, coordinate with team members and partners responsible for follow-up, and maintain records of all interactions for reporting purposes.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in the human services field is required; a minimum of 3- 5 years' experience is strongly preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Standard office working environment.
  • Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.
  • This role may require working remotely full or part-time. Part-time employees may be required to share workspace.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs.
