What will I do in this position if hired?


In this position, you will serve as a Management & Program Analyst, within the Risk Management Directorate in FEMA Resilience.

You will apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification and resolution of issues concerning FEMA's National Mitigation Planning Program.


Typical assignments include:
Serve as an authority on evaluation of FEMA mitigation program laws, regulations, and policies.
Analyze and advise on the effectiveness of FEMA's mitigation planning program.

Apply quantitative and qualitative analytics to advise on the impacts of policies on organizational, program or project effectiveness and efficiency.

Use performance-based management methodology in conjunction with information technology and FEMA systems to develop, monitor and manage performance measures for assigned programs.

Serve as product owner and data steward for FEMA's Mitigation Planning Portal (MPP) to ensure systems are properly supported and configured to meet user needs and project requirements.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
