Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Since its founding in 1973, the original 59-bed, short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 226 licensed beds. We specialize in women's and children's services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education. In June 1998, Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine. In June 2023, the hospital was renamed Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.

The Clinical Program Manager (CPM) is a registered nurse with demonstrated clinical and management skills, who participates in program development and coordinates clinical aspects of care for patients. The CPM is responsible to the nurse manager and coordinates interdisciplinary functions to assure appropriate clinical interventions and quality improvement activities for the service for Critical Care.

This Clinical Program Manager will assist the Support Services Manager in overseeing Support Services which includes the constant observers, avasys monitors, nursing float pool, shift directors, and discharge hospitality suite.

Who Should Apply:

  • Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
  • BSN required. Those hired prior to July 1, 2016 will be grandfathered.
  • Must possess a current Maryland RN license, or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
  • Must maintain current CPR certification.
  • Nationally recognized certification in nursing administration and/or an appropriate specialty preferred.
  • At least five (5) years' experience in direct patient care with current and previous experience in applicable clinical specialty.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
