Job Summary
We are seeking a Public Relations Assistant to join our team As our Public Relations Assistant, you will be working with the PR team to assist the growing brand, working on maintaining an excellent public face and voice for the company. You will be maintaining strong relationships with media outlets and contacts, and monitoring emails, answering phones, and directing questions. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Answer emails and phone calls, answer questions, and direct larger inquiries to the appropriate personnel
Assist with community outreach and engagement across multiple platforms
Create, edit, and publish content on various social media platforms, as needed
Maintain calendars appropriately, including an editorial calendar, event calendar, and more
Participate in meetings and strategy sessions within the department
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail
Familiarity with common computer programs, such as Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, and social media publishing platforms
Knowledge of Public Relations best practices helpful
