Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services, the Coordinator of Nutrition Services Operations is responsible for assisting with department operations to ensure compliance with the USDA program guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Director with overseeing the daily operation of the Nutrition Services program throughout the District, including regularly visiting each building's kitchen to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures USDA Offer vs. Serve requirements.
  2. Coordinate Skyward Food Service Software.
  3. Coordinate the department's invoices, financial reports, purchase orders, requisitions and monthly financial reports. Monitor and audit the cashier reports and deposits and compiles the monthly revenue reports.
  4. Assist with the recruitment, selection, hiring and training of Cook Helpers, Cooks and Cook Managers.
  5. Approve, audit and process applications for the Free and Reduced Price School Meals Program, manual and Direct Certifications. Coordinate and process Summer Electronic Benefit data.
  6. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications:
  1. Completed a 4 year degree in Business, Foodservice Management or comparable Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
  2. Membership in MSNA/School Nutrition Association.
  3. MSNA Level 4 certificate within 1 year of hire date.
  4. Experience in a school district and/or foodservice business operations desired.
  5. Experience with staff management preferred.
  6. ServeSafe preferred.
  7. Certified Food Protection Manager's license required within 90 days of hire date.
  8. Evidence of ability to maintain confidentiality of school-related information and USDA Educational Benefits Status (Free and Reduced Lunch approval).
  9. Evidence of excellent mathematical skills.
  10. Evidence of excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  11. Evidence of ability to learn and apply new software programs for various applications
  12. Evidence of excellent human relation, communication and supervisory skills.
  13. Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  14. Evidence of excellent organizational skills.
  15. Evidence of ability to communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally), and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, staff, parents and the general public to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  16. Evidence of ability to work autonomously by anticipating, analyzing, and problem-solving various situations as they occur.
  17. Evidence of ability to perform duties under pressure, handle constant interruptions and adjust to changing priorities.
Salary and Benefits:
Minimum salary is $85,000 with a competitive benefits package.
This position will be placed on an individual contract.
