Job DescriptionThe Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team at AbbVie plays a crucial role in supporting the organization in the US. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical guidance and merge marketing and sales data to enhance the Brand and Sales teams' understanding of market performance and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Brand and Sales Leadership to align marketing strategies with key priorities and sales force activities.
- Lead efforts in Media Mix Modeling to formulate evidence-based promotional investment strategies that enhance the return on promotional efforts.
- Effectively convey insights and information to a wide range of stakeholders through exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Identify and propose key business issues for analysis, recommend suitable techniques and approaches to meet business goals, and combine all relevant information to address the issue.
- Carry out national and sub-national analyses and integrate findings with various stakeholders.
- Supervise external analytic vendors to ensure timely and high-quality project completion.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing secondary data sources and incorporate therapeutic area knowledge into analytic assessments and suggestions.
- Articulate the outcomes of complex analytical models persuasively to drive improvements in brand performance.
- Develop or utilize innovative and advanced analytic models to tackle critical issues while meeting essential business and technical criteria.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to enhance the application of analytic modeling methods for optimizing Sales and Marketing strategies.
- Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a focus on marketing/sales/quantitative analysis.
- Relevant 3-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing data, and utilizing this data to devise business plans and strategies.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational functions and senior management.
- Demonstrates adeptness in project management and multitasking.
- Proficiency in key competencies including future needs anticipation, building partnerships, implementing innovative solutions, simplifying complex information, communicating insights effectively, and enhancing team effectiveness through coaching.
- Proficient in software programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. Experience with SQL/Dataiku is a plus.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; preferred degrees in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
- Master's Degree preferred in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or similar fields with a focus on marketing/sales/quantitative analysis.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of brand management principles such as brand positioning and promotion channels.
- Emphasis on teamwork, relationship-building, and influencing others while demonstrating courage, constructive behavior, agility, and accountability.
- Ability to collaborate successfully with various stakeholders like Sales Leadership, Brand Marketing, Sales Operations, Market Research, and Analytics teams.
